Text 6 Aug Timing and the like…

So after the hot yoga class week, I took it pretty easy on Friday and Saturday. I cleaned my apartment from top to bottom (which took 5 hours) but to me that doesnt really count as something active. I spent the majority of Saturday viewing potential houses to buy with my other half. :)

Sunday it was time to get back at it. We had league practice at noon and it was really awesome! I like league when there aren’t too many of us there and we work on drills and skills we don’t normally get a chance to in team practice. :)

Miss anNa Molly pulled out a 4 corners drill for us to do to work on timing and different positions on the track. It was really good. I started out as a blocker, but as the drill goes on you get shifted to another position. From blocker to helper to jammer. We all know I’m no jammer, but every now and then it sure is fun to pretend.

The drill felt really good my blocker timing is off a little, and my recovery time is still a problem. But yesterday, I was reengaging, running my ass off to make sure I was catching up and trying to be effective. Hell, I even had some pretty good moves while I was jamming. The other thing that felt really good was Poppa Chubby pointing out that my speed (cause I actually felt like I had some yesterday) was throwing him off while he was trying to block me. Huh, that feels pretty great. And Fluster telling me I was doing better then i thought I was. I think I’m gonna have to keep this constant workout deal up!! Getting even more stoked for our game on Saturday against the Deathbridge Derby Dames now too!

Text 2 Aug 1 note Another brain racking argument

Well. I got up off my lazy butt and dragged myself to hot yoga, after an incredibly long and silly internal argument.

I’m so glad I went. It was really what I needed!

Brain, please do me a favor and shut up, cause I can do anything!!
